Permafrost

Dr. Kershaw is studying permafrost. Can you tell me what permafrost is? Can permafrost be found in the United States, and if so where?
Scofield students - you can answer through this blog or through the Purple Team webpage. Remember web etiquette - do not post your last name! Just leave your first name, and tell me your advisory number. More questions will come after school starts!

Getting Ready

Hello! It is hard to think about gathering warm clothes to head up North when the weather is so warm and beautiful here in Connecticut - but I am excited about participating in climate change research. I will be leaving on September 21 for Churchill, Manitoba and working with Dr. Peter Kershaw and his research on permafrost change. Purple Team students - Start thinking of questions you may have on climate change and conditions in Canada - I will be awaiting your questions.
